FDA-approved, non-invasive, and can be used to remedy several skin issues, including sun damage and wrinkles

What is IPL And what can we treat with IPL?

Intense Pulsed Light treatments utilize a broad spectrum of multiple light wavelengths, whereas a laser delivers a
single wavelength. When applied to client’s skin, safe and effective IPL technology can dramatically improve red
(broken capillaries) or brown pigmentation problems (such as liver spots, age spots, hyperpigmentation.)

Treating Redness (Broken Capillaries)
IPL (Intense Pulse Light) for Vascular can be used to effectively treat broken capillaries, spider veins, red spots,
cherry angionomas and possibly improve rosacea. The IPL treatment works by blasting broken or damaged vessels
back into the bloodstream, allowing the body to reabsorb these vessels a few days after your treatment.

Treating Benning Pigmentation
When we are treating brown spots (hyperpigmentation) with IPL, the natural melanin in our skin absorbs the light
energy. For the first few days after treatment, the spots can appear darker as they come to the surface of the skin.
Then, they crust and flake off.

How much does it cost?
The cost of treatment depends on the size of the area we need to treat. The prices start from £40. You can book
your free consultation and patch test where price will be quoted, and all procedure would be discussed.

Who is suitable for an IPL treatment?
A client who is not tanned, doesn’t use sunbeds or fake tanning. A client who doesn’t have naturally darker skin
(for example Fitzpatrick skin type of 5 or 6).

Possible side effects
After an IPL session, client could notice changes in their skin. A mild side effects are perfectly normal. These
changes indicate that the treatment is working properly. The most common issues that clients might experience are:

Blisters, Bruising, Crusting, Brown spots, Redness, Swelling, Sunspots, Blemishes, hypo-pigmentation or hyper-
pigmentation (both temporarily, can last up to few months)

These symptoms create no reason for concern. Even when a procedure is non-invasive like the IPL
photofacial there is a healing process that takes place, with side effects lasting only a few days.
